Genesis Chapter Chaplain – My Personal Masterpiece

Genesis Chapter Chaplain

Hi all, Oni here… and after weeks of devoting all of my hobby time to completing my Genesis chapter chaplain, my own personal best, I present it to you all now.

I love chaplains and I love this particular model so I decided to go all out and do it the best I could and I have to say, I’m very pleased with the results.  I’m not going to type out a full how-to on this one like I normally do, there’s just far to much.  If you’d like to know how I painted a particular aspect of my chaplain feel free to ask me in a comment and I’ll fill you in.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Impressive. You've certainly got a fig on your hands that you can be proud of, kudos! I'd love to see some more angles though...

  2. Yep, a very very well done model mate - you have good reason to be very proud!

Bar the obviously good black highlighting, I really like the gold-plated pistol and the effect on the shaft of his holy stick. Anywho, keep up the good work!

  3. Very very awesome paintjob. Crisp black highlighting and nice reds too. Love the handle of the Crozius as Sovietspace mentioned too. Good work fella.

  7. Thank you everyone. I really appreciate the comments.

@ sovietspace & Siph - The shaft of his Crozius is a red marble effect that I tried my hand at. There were about 7 colours used to do it, but the results were far to bright compared to the rest of the model. Roughly 3 thin coats of Badab Black wash fixed the problem nicely. Unfortunately the wash took away a lot of detail and colour, but the end result was really close to the look I wanted and stopped it from pulling your focus away from the body.

@ Mik - I'll post some more angels of him soon. :)

  9. Simply beautiful work! I'm very impressed, I especially like the marble work you did on the haft of the crozius - I've never been able to pull of a respectable-looking marble. Nice work!
