I managed to get another one of the Imperial Sector buildings completed today. I kept the same paint scheme and over all simplified design as the Manufactorum.
When I think of war torn buildings of the 41st millennium, I don’t envision many pretty or lavish colours. I think of of dark and bleak ruins that are haunting and eerie, especially given their gothic nature and design. This theme will be carried over to the next few buildings as well as the urban barricades and I hope that in the end it’ll all come together and make a really nice battle field.
I agree with you on the dark colours, it actually represents a lot of air pollution, soot and debris from the war.
ReplyDeleteVery good job, I like it!
Very nice job. I agree with both you and Alivin, the dust and debris created by buildings being destroyed and falling down would cover any city battlefield in grey dust.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. I appreciate the comments.
ReplyDeleteAnother good job on these kits. The rubble piles on the ground are a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteLove it Oni. Dark colours rule. Now, got to go get me one of those new wide drybrushes for all that terrain...
